bepgof 20 Report post Posted July 8, 2011 (edited) Currently, 3 mnth sibor moving average = 0.4375, 12 month moving average = 0.75807, 3 yr MA=??? should be higher than 1yr's.If other terms on same pars for the 2 packages, obviously the 1/3 mnth is better.Compare the "penalty" & other costs:- Partial payment within xxx yr "admin charge"- concersion charge.etcWatch out, China recently up the lending interest to 6.06% & deposit interest rate to 3%. Implication: discourage borrowing, encourage put $ into deposits(saving).Harlow all,I am currently considering the 2 home loan packages.DBS===3 years SIBOR + 0.65 throughoutCitibank========1 or 3 mths SIBOR + 0.75 throughoutCitibank has the flexibility to change the SIBOR rates anytime uponthe expiry of the rates. I prefer local banks, ppl asked why. I replied: loyalty. If have account with bank, cash payment via internet will be easier.CPF instalment amount can be altered via any computer, so long as having singpass. You should choose the one that suits you more...!! And which you can repay easily too !!
