I had an ikea's normal mirror in my living room for past 9.6yrs liao! It is still standing strong alone, though its wooden frames all around have already forsaken it! Mirror itself no prob so thought I might jus get for my new place's 2 bathrooms. It's a gamble though but d damages weren't that destructive I thought

Bunnymummy 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2011 I think the dark spots on mirrors are caused by too much moisture. I think any mirror will have the same problem unless the frame is airtight, esp in humid area like toilet. Don't worry, at least Ikea is relatively cheap and can replace more easily. Gambaru 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2011 Definitely mine one will be exposed to moisure alot. $50 for 70x96cm quite reasonable la, if can use it for 5 years each year depreciated by $10 Thanks for the inputs.I think the dark spots on mirrors are caused by too much moisture.
