Cost Psf Of Laying Tiles In Different Areas

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Want to discuss the cost of laying tiles in different sections of the house. Pls share information here. Below are the lowest cost for labour i've seen.

1) Rooms, Living, Dining, balcony, storeroom etc (based on 60cm x 60cm homo tiles) - $2.50psf

2) Kitchen floor tiles - $4psf

3) Toilet floor tiles - $11.6psf

4) Toilet Wall tiles - $4.4psf

Very significantly different. Here's not to ask for contacts. But just compare prices to give all of us a sense of the proper market price outside there.

Those are good figures

i assume your figures for kitchen floor tiles are higher because of waterproofing? or just normal ?

Waterproofing is charged separately. That's why I want to find out the price of labour for laying tiles in each area. Quite different. Am trying to understand how come the price for laying wall tiles in toilet is significantly higher.

I know the labour cost for floor tiles of $2.50psf is very good price so that point, I don't think i'll bargain more.

The cost of laying tiles is based on demand...more people will do up their toilet = higher price

store room can do without tiles = low price to attract

Toilet have more cutting of tiles and hence higher cost.

BUt urs is definitely attractive.

See mine:

Kitchen floor Based on $2.80/sqft $7.30

Toilet floor Based on $2.80/sqft $12.20

Toilet wall Based on $2.20/sqft $5.50

Kitchen wall i can't put up cos' he didnt charge me for the labour.

But of cos' the price is inclusive of 10% wastage
