Hi Sky,

I am quite sure that our house are not with fiber cable as I have already confirm with the HDB officer.

So I think we have to wait for the free installation.

Regards

Desmond

So I shouldn't get open net to install first is it?

Hi Bros Sky,

I believe there will be extra charges for the fibre installation not FOC.

If you got any information on this fibre installation, do update me.

Regards

Desmond

Hi asheley168,

Most of my furniture are in white, only sofa will be brownish although i prefer white... My wife afraid that it will turn dirty easily. hai...

I actually got the package from Species at FC, their price are high but the design are good. I actually think that if you have a big house, it is ok to get their package. For me, I somehow regret as i am alway choosing the smaller size of the furniture which is not worth the package. So if you have the small house as me, then it is better to go for individual purchase rather than package.

My 0.001 cents opinion. :P

Regards

Desmond

Hi, brother

Congrats on starting on your own blog & wishing you a smooth reno journey!

For the divider, I personally like design 1, which has better contrast with the theme.

I've call OpenNet, they mentioned that our area is only schedule to install in end this year or early next year. So if you have intention to install, do get your ID to lay a trucking for the OpenNet first so that the truck wont be exposure. FYI, the 1st 15m of the cable is free from OpenNet and subseq 5m is @ $33.

Another point to take note, since we can get fibre optic from any of the teleco, so it's advisable to not sign any contract that will tight you down for the next 2 yr provided they allow upgrade.

Thank for all the bros & sisters comment.. we have already confirmed with our ID on all the design... We are going for design 2 cos we are looking for more modern..

Mainly white and black but adding abit of wooden laminate here and there, hoping the design will last as I heard from my ID saying that we will sooner or later feel boring abt the modern design.

Maybe it is true as most ang mo are using wooden furniture and laminate in their house.

The renovation will start very soon... THIS SAT !!!

Will update soon...

Frankly speaking am not too sure. I think should be from the scv box behind the main door to wherever u want. For me it end it the svc junction box where my tv will be. Coz the longer u drag, the more $$ need to top up. Me cheapo...

Congrates to ur start of Reno.

Am using both Blum and excel for almost my whole house. Blum is slightly more expensive because of the brand and machanism. Where as excel is cheaper and simpler.

Size: Blum is very bulky but excel is slimmer.

U can head down to excel to take a look. Here the addr

http://www.excelhw.com.sg/

I intend to head there to buy some put out rack for the kitchen cabinet.
