Guest NalNal Report post Posted June 13, 2011 Been searching for mattresses for my new house lately, and have being to a few showrooms. Tried on a few brands: simons, lotus, king koil, 4 star, sealy, etc. I'm divided, between sealy and king koil, still making up my mind. Until i came across an article in "furniture today" (seeattach). I need some help from anyone, what do you all think? It sounds bad, I strongly believes in after service, especially a good mattress that last us more than 10 years. If they don't honorit, how can I trust them? Guest NalNal Report post Posted June 14, 2011 thx for the info, but according to the article, sealy didn't denial that besides the springs, the fabric and foam are not under warranty. That's how the class action law suit came about. I don't know, after reading so much bad reviews of other mattress on this forum, Ihave to be very careful not to buy the wrong brand and regret later, like many of the others. GetFuzzy 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2011 hmm....when I was looking at Sealy at Tampines Courts, the sales said Sealy's warrenty covers everything (spring, the pillow top, everything) for 10 years....

In fact, the warranty for all mattresses only cover the spring system and all companies will also include a clause that says they will not honour the warranty if the mattress is not in a sanitary condition. Guest NalNal Report post Posted June 15, 2011 OK...clause noted, but based on the article in the Furniture Today, the worrying thing is that we will face difficulty when Sealy are coming out with excuses to reject all warranties. I need more assurance before I decide on my new mattress, so Sealy or King Koil??

They have been using it for 11 years, even since we moved into our new house. And it still felt as new, so i guess it depends on how you used and take care of the item. Of course, i don't know the quality for king koil for now.

This is called wear and tear. If you are comparing mattresses perhaps you could buy something that is less expensive and replace it in 5 years rather than spending more on something and hope it lasts a full 10 year.Just my 2 cents worth. That is where the law suit from consumers comes in. We definitely needa very prompt and good after service in mattresses we buy. Anyone knows or experienced mattress brands with prompt and good after service? I think, after reading so many top brandswith bad reviews, and so many of you who like me can't decide and lost confidence in buying agood mattress, the best bet is one with such good service. At least, it force, all this companies tomake better mattresses, knowing that they need to warranty a good service. Thanks to all of you, I think I'm learning fast.
