Recommended Posts

Does anybody knows if I can overlay tiles in my bathroom and keep the shower screens and doors and all other bathroom accessories?

Depends on your bathroom. Imagine the existing tiles +a few cm after overlaying the tiles, will it block the current door?

If you want to overlay tiles, you must see the spacing between your door or shower screen and the exisitng flooring. Usually overlaying will increase the floor height by around 1.5cm to 2cm, unless you decide not the overlay the shower kerb and door kerb, or else you have to dismantle them.

Other than getting a new change of doors. My contractor actually remove my existing door and sent for a 'cut/shorten' process.

I managed to reuse my 'old' doors with a new height after the overlaying job.
