lockandloaded 0 Report post Posted June 9, 2011 I am a true believer of front loaders, as they are gentler with the clothes and the hot water functions work better than top loaders. I have been walking arounf washer shopping but there seemed to be so many brands now.I am looking for continental types, so zooming down to Bosch, Maytag, Electrolux, Fisher. Miele is out of my price range. Looking for expert advice. Thanks!

Husky09 0 Report post Posted June 10, 2011 I am still undecisive on whether to get a Top Load or Front Load Washer. Front Load Washer: Uses less water but more electricityTop Load Washer: Uses more water but less electricityAfter some calculation, I noticed that the cost per wash load (using current water and electricity tariffs) for Top Load and Front Load machines don't differ much, i.e. $0.10 per wash at most. However, the cost of buying a 8kg Front Load Washer is so much higher. Currently I am using a Top Load Washer, so when I need to use hot water to wash bed linen, I'll boil a kettle of water and add into my Top Load machine. It's troublesome, but no choice for now.... px22 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2011 (edited) How about Samsung?I'm in the same situation. Can anyone advise LG or Samsung is better?I narrow it to LG F1422TD and Samsung WF8804. Both almost the same...(price, spec and function)me too. I have no idea which is better, being a first time house owner, so i just based it on price... I think u refering to WD8804 instead of WF? The one with washer dryer and air-wash function? for same load and same function got the WD8804 at a cheaper price so i jus bought that. Cant comment on the functions cos delivery is this weekend.. Bunnymummy 0 Report post Posted June 17, 2011 Hi, I bought the LG 7 kg front load washer which comes with "Baby care" function. Model is WD1070. I chose LG in the end because I was told that the mechanism that rotate the drum is different design from the others and supposed to be quieter and less vibration. But I have not gotten delivery yet so I don't know if it's really the case. But price was very reasonable.
