Hi,

Would like to seek advise from RT members. For painting works, which brand of paint is better, ICI or Nippon? Is there a big price difference between the two?

Thanks!

ICI is slightly better & more ex but Nippon is more commonly for economical usuage

Hi

I'm sorry to be saying this but I don't mean to contradict u.

We prefer Nippon becox it lasted us longer when we used their 3-in-1 medifresh paint. Ours lasted about 8 years before the paint started turning patchy. However, what fascinated us is that there is no peeling or flaking.

Our neighbours who used ICI had to get his walls repainted every 2 to 3 years even though they are using the expensive range.

So basically, Nippon is better quality and long lasting and still cheaper as compared to ICI? as for Nippon itself, do they have certain range with different prices? Which one that you guys normally used?

Please advice.. This is my first time renovating a house and for some money-saving, i intend to design it without using ID..

I'm using both Nippon and Dulux cos I have particular colours in mind (some colours not found in both brands). My old house was painted with both brands of paints and they both have not much problems so far after 6 plus years. I think really depends on your wall conditions rather than quality of each brand, to me I feel its the same. :)
