Personal preference.

Plus, I have a ceiling fan. Don't look that nice if directly over coffee table, it will be directly under the ceiling fan too. The shade will wobble when fan's on full.

Wow! That looks stunning in in your living room ejzoen. Looks better in night view picture. I am a fan of MCM furniture myself. I was able to pick arco lamp replica when I visited NY with my cousin, from manhattan home design. He insisted me on buying it cuz it was on offer and they were gonna do free shipping. Now I dont regret the buy:) This is a show stealer of my house!
