Need To Remove Sticker On The Wall Before Painting

Hi all how can I remove sticker that have been pasted on the wall? Can I use water to soak them for easy removal and will it affect if I'm going to paint

Easy way can I spray water on the wall to make the sticker easier to remove?

Can try using alcohol or those 'zippo' fuel.

I usually use Goo-Gone (can get it from DIY shops) to remove such stickers or residues, works so far for me but i have not tried using it on walls before. But since you are going to repaint it, why not just scrap the area off?

yeap...i also use zippo lighter fluid...tried & tested to remove the sticky residue..

i even used it on the metal body of my car...so dont worry...nothing came out except the sticky residue..
