greglhc 30 Report post Posted August 3, 2015 I've just encountered a huge problem with the mitsubishi heavy industries sys 2Basically it trips the electrical circuit constantly in my houseTake a few days for their technician to come down - tells me need to replace PCB, heater coil and compressorMy aircon is like 18 months old - so only compressor is covered by warrantyBut labour and the rest are notBest part they take very long to come back to me about the cost of repairs and haven't been able to get hold of them (always at lunch or in meeting).I got a third party opinion - an aircon company that installs and maintenance a variety of brandsHe tells me that MHI always has compressor problems. Usually about 2-3 years it will give outThe symptom is cannot produce cold airBest part is that in order to replace the compressor, the replacement one has pipes that needs to be weldedIf the welding is lousy, then again not able to produce much cold air.One person's experience with this brand thus far. Please consider this before committing to this brand.
John Teng 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2017 Had a very frustrating and yet disappointing experience with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries air con which was purchased and installed less than 2 years. Or to be exact, end of this month will be the 2nd year of installing the air con. Air con fan motor and PC board was damaged and best of all is I don't use it regularly. I'm the first within my family nucleus to face this disappointing issue using this MHI air con whilst others don't face this issue using other brands. A piece of advice for those who want to buy air con is not to buy Mitsubishi Heavy Industries air con. Kindly take note that I am writing based on factual experience and there is no intention to tarnish the brand reputation. I'm writing this for the benefits of consumers or end users where I hope it will be a guideline for them.

Told me there's no leakage, pressure is alright etc. So will it really be gas shortage causing the problem? or will it be possible the new MHI hardware already have some issue? if i switch to 24-25 degree, the aircon is worst than mrt or bus cooling, its definitely not normal right? My room is not that big, its a 4rm resale. Even if i just on one aircon unit, the cooling is still not enough to me. =( Hi ligertws, Did you manage to solve the issue eventually? I'm having the same problem with my new MHI system 4 as well. It's just not cold at 24-25 degrees at all. I have to turn it down to 20 degrees to feel slightly more comfortable, and I'm the kind the gets cold very easily. The installer came to check' aircon temperature with his hand (yes, no equipment, just placed his hand at the aircon vent to check temperature) and insisted that there's no issue. Help..Please, could you let me know if you managed to solve the issue and how it was solved if you possible? Thanks so much! Welcome anyone's comments or suggestions as well! unity58 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2018 Hi all, I hope I can get some advise. My compressor recently trip the power of the whole house. After that, the aircon can still be powered on but showing orange light blinking 6 times. I am using MHI and compressor model is SCM60ZJ-S1. I have asked my regular aircon cleaning guy to come and check and his findings is Main PCB 1 and fan motor short circuit and need to replace. He say after replacing he cannot confirm if the compressor will have issue or not as he cannot test run. Worse, he told me the replacement for the 2 parts will cost at least 1k. Is it so expensive? Anyone with experience can advise? I feel that it looks like way too expensive to just replace those 2 parts. Anyone can advise or help. Thank You.

Hissveome 0 Report post Posted November 30, 2021 Yes, it might seem expensive, but it is worth the money. You'll never want to experience troubles again, don't you? So if you need quality, you need to provide enough resources. I know people who paid a lot more, so you should be happy with the bill you can receive. If you are unsure about that, get yourself a new specialist and see what he'll tell you. Probably, you'll get a more significant amount of money to pay. My air conditioning installation cost me a lot, but it lasts until today, and I'm delighted with it; by that, I mean that sometimes we have to forget about the money and look for the quality.
