Since i will not be getting reno loan, i am thinking of engaging JB ID/reno company.

anyways nowadays all local reno company workers are from MAlaysia, so.....

anyone have any experience or recommendations?

Hello, just curious, why not getting a reno loan? I thought that reno loan offers 1 of the cheapest interest rate, other than housing loan?

True that the workers mostly from Malaysia, but wont you find it a hussle, having to go over to JB and choose the materials, tiles design, viewing of 3D drawings (if any), etc? And what about the warranty, if they offer? Unless you're living in Woodlands, where it's quite near to JB (swim there also can haha). Just my 2 cents worth. =)

Hope ur JB ID/Contractor is registered with HDB..unless ur reno works no need HDB permit.

If your reno work only involve carpentry; no problem for you to go for JB ID.

But if your reno work involve hacking and wet work which it needs HDB permit, I dont think the JB ID can handle the job. One must be the HDB licensed contractor to do up the job. Matters to consider are not only at reno loan.

if they co with local ID firm, they can get HDB permit...

Pls make sure that ur JB firm can get HDB permit....
