(our other 2 rooms are empty...) We did take a short break from furnishing our home (we're still shuffling things ard the areas we did up) Now that we're more settled in ... and have a little cash to spare (damm bills!) We're now working on our work studio (more mine than his ;p). My work table was figured out a while bk, it's a refurbished singer machine stand with a solid wood top (just finished that last week...pixs soon) However had been looking for his table for a while as he wanted it to be a little more unique. Thank goodness we finally found it.for chairs, I'd like a wooden stool or the old school roller stool-like chair for him, he's eyeing a scandi-style wooden chair. The chairs will be our next challenge. I can't wait for my next invoice payment!! damm freelancing!Hi FF, always such a visual treat for us when you update your blog. timothyng27 0 Report post Posted October 10, 2011 Heya frigginfuschia!Somehow I have been bitten by the vintage / pre-loved bug too. Have been spending hours going through junk store stuff and Salvation Army stores too!I bought this super nice ship lamp from Heritage Centre at Jalan Sultan. Tried painting it over but it doesn't look very nice.I think I need to scrape off / sandpaper the outer layer first and paint over a coat of white before putting on the paint color I like (Moss Rose - which is a very cool shade of pink )Do you have a spray paint machine I could possibly borrow?By the way, there's tons of stuff out there you could re-hab yourself. Go check out Praisehaven / Salvation Army at Upper Bukit Timah and Upper Serangoon road.I found quite a lot of cool stuff lying around going for a dime. Saw a sofa I liked going pretty cheap; but I need to re-upholster. Any lobangs for cheap upholstery?Let me know if you wanna go check it out; I can send you some pics I took there. Maybe we can go together too
