sleek 2 Report post Posted May 23, 2011 thanks for the welcome patsy, may - of course la, you encouraged me to post and so generous to show us your special home, hafiizh, friends78 - may's encouragement , lady _r - cannot really save leh cos we're doing quite alot of major changes but we want a place we like so it's ok, just spend it now and be happy to live in it & thanks for your pm, kobe - hey you been MIA over the weekend, welcome back, csingeu - sorry we're very fussy and this is actually my first house to do what i want with it, so must reno to my liking , adidaem - thanks, eh my standard and yours both high la !Hi to my future neighhour~ welcome! 135 sqm is really big... guess that's probably one of the biggest 5-room you can get nowadays~ and, just wondering - have you considered how to extend the MBR while keeping the marble floor? that's the same headache we had before decided to knock down one wall becos we dunno how to patch the marble floor after hacking~anyway, all the best for your 2nd appointment, key collection, reno and etc~ you are always welcome to drop by my place if you need a drink or something when checking reno progress at your new place~ hee hee hi marshy, thanks for your generous offer, dont be surprised if my entire noisy bunch pop over one day then! and yes, it is REALLY very big to us - we are very very happy with the size especially after seeing all the smaller newer 5rooms in JW .I never thought of that actually, neither did my ID bring it up. I guess cos our initial plan was to put platform there for our bed but after Da Jie Mae came over, she said that is a big NONO as we will have 2 swords from the beams cutting us! She said we should move our bed to before the beam with the headboard against that wall so there goes my dream 23ft u-shaped WIW :(I will be going to his office tomorrow afternoon to view my 3Ds so will bring this marble issue up to him. I need to sell off current place first before can buy the new place and cos of 7th mth plus extension request by the new place current owners, so everything get delayed till end Sept, very impatient for it to come already as you can see we have been purchasing the bulky home stuff already! sleek 2 Report post Posted May 23, 2011 COngrats, sleek! Glad to see you starting your t-blog too, will definitely follow your blog And WOW! Your place huge! The kitchen is pretty big (long) too. Good if you cook regularly The house condition looks as good as new too, can save quite a fair bit on reno Congratulations sleek... the floor plan and pics look real nice! Just my opinion - you can consider hacking away the store room and move the Room 2's doorway adjacent to Room 3's.You will have a big space in Room 2 for your 2 boys - with a 'private' corner for each...hey you 2, thanks~ the kitchen is great for us as my mum cooks for us daily except on weekends, where we eat out as a family. Not going to save on reno as everyone expects as we want to change quite a bit of things in the home. lol fussy us Seth - not sure what you mean by making doorway 2 adjacent to 3, thought it is already adjacent now. sorry i am a visual learner but anyway hacking down storeroom is a big no no for us as we need the storage space for all the boys paraphernalia - diapers, extra toys not in use, etc! you will know what i mean once you have your own kids also my older son choose bedroom 3 for his + brother room from the floor plan himself! sleek 2 Report post Posted May 24, 2011 *sigh* My update got eaten up by the internetzWanted to say, met up with my ID today at his office to view some 3Ds, look at material samples and chit chat + suan him. I absolutely love the look of the master bedroom bed & WIW area , the kitchen is just like any other kitchen already posted up on RT so no comments with that. However since Mae da jie highlighted the good sector of the house and placement of headboard, I will now be taking over the whole dining room instead of up to the middle of the window as originally planned, so I will have my own 1 bedroom hotel-like suite !!! My approx 23ft u-shaped WIW will remain in the original planned section near the toilet in the existing MBR and I will shift my study area there too instead of between the extended MBR and kitchen. Really happy and excited, once again can't wait to start but have to wait till end Sept Oh, I dont have the 3Ds cos we didnt actually confirm him by putting deposit with him, just verbal agreement.. I think I will go and fiddle with floorplanner to give everyone a visual idea of what is changed and planned.

Steady lar sis, I'm looking forward to see the layout.Lol girls, steady on, too much drool all over that i need to squat on my chair liao! I was so shocked when I saw the 23ft in his quote too, come home and checked then realise that May, yours is 15.5ft and we're all gaga over it already.
