Sorry to barge in. Currently looking at sofa threads to source one for my inlaws and read about all the arguments, theories and debates. Not trying to rude but as a reader, wld appreciate the competitors to respect that this is EL thread and start a new thread to comment your thots. The last few pages of comments r hardly beneficial to the readers. U guys have made your stand and we consumers will think it thru before making our purchase. To be honest, I'm only interested in hearing from EL's customers on the products, after sales service and experiences. The rest from the competitors (with the exception of samtheman) doesn't really matter and it's kind of childish. Sorry if I offend anyone of u guys but it's kind of frustrating as a reader to keep clicking pages of the threads to see competitiors arguing and arguing.

If you take time to read through the posts, i am sure you will learn and understand what has been going on in the tread. If we are "competitors", we will not even care to share what we know about leathers and the industry ethics. If we are indeed competitors, i will gladly review the company/brand i am representing here.

Reading just the latest post will not give you the full picture of whats been translated earlier. We don't argue here, we share comments.

Why dont you find out which company does jeanis comes from? Instead of asking about our factories, just tell him to show himself and I will show him our factories.

Jeanius basically bring in sofas from 5 different factories.. 1 of them specialise in fabric sofa , so left with 4 leather sofas maker. 1 of them in italy the rest in China. I have been to one of his minor supplier factory too.

Mr EL Factory in Malaysia . Been to 2 of their supplier factory.. if you ask me, sincerly no way can compare to the minor supplier factory of Mr Jeanius sofa maker. Lets not mention about his "branded" factory who OEM for europeans company.

And Mr EL your sofa design can be seen in few others stores in singapore also.

Mention about costing of your range of sofa cant escape my eyes also. As i mention before in your thread , your sofa price is consider reasonable only because i know what leather your factory provides you. But no way till the way you describe your leather as top notch leather. again no way

So the leather that is supplied by EL's factory is not top notch leather? To be fair to EL, EL did mention that it is entry level cowhides from Tuscany, Italy so he is not claiming that it is top notch. But based on what you wrote above, it seems the leather would not be from Tuscany too.

Also, if EL's sofa design is found in other stores, wouldn't that mean that anyone can just go to the factory and placed an order and sell the same furniture in direct competition with them at EL's expense. Shouldn't the factory be protecting their own people since EL claimed they are owned by the factory?

I just came in and saw a few interesting comments raised by the few "towkays" factories.

CAn i PM you privately if i wish to buy a personal sofa set - top leather hor ...What i hope is to get "reasonable" disounts from you folks :-)

Oh yes, one more thing - i want to polish my sofa set to get ready for chinese new year ..can the towkay PM a contact ? At the same time, if i engaged your "sofa polish" contact, can they tell me what kind of leather sofa i have ? I can provide invoices, etc.

I am not here to challenge my old sofa purchase done years back, if the specailists like you can tell me what is the reasonable amount i should pay, then i know whether my last retailer cheated me by overselling the price.

In business, definitely must make profit. But a consumer like me wishes to pay a reasonable price, that's all

p/s : sorry to tag on EL thread, as i've not purchase anything from them yet, thus my comments are not directed at them.

In one of the earlier post by EL, EL claims that they have nothing to hide. When we put some questions to him, he accused us of being affected by their sales, being jealous and totally avoid answering them.

Do read all post here and we are sure you will learn more about furniture business ethics. We will make this tread here very interesting and knowlegeable to all.

LMAO .. you really a noob.. a hint for you. we use to use your supplier sofas, thats why i know whats your costing etc .. or you want me to copy your design and sell online ?

Thats why i know your operation in and out . most of the design you have is not OEM design, just that Mr Alvin is a very hardworking boss, always on the move in Singapore market , getting the best design in singapore and ask malaysia to modifield it. I didnt say COPY ok lol.

So may I know what is our next latest model, since you know so much about us kindly enlighten our competitors. It's very easy post and tell the world what kind of expert you are.
