Out of ten people , how many will trust what you are saying? Given el's clientele base do you think they made the wrong choice?

Hi Dave, EL claimed that they have their own factory and buying their leather from 'Tuscany' / Brazil. I am a buyer and i want to give them more business if they are willing to OEM our designs with the 5 years warranty and it is not intended for Singapore market anyway.

As i am always in KL, i might want to visit their factory which EL claimed that they have here. I am sure they will want more business for their export business. I have not come across any factories giving 5 years warranty for leather upholstery, so it makes business sense to buy from them.

Here you are trying your best to sway customers not to believe in us, JUST because you are too smart for yourself, you thought that you know everything about leather and you have never heard of Tuscan leather before and you tried to google it and found nothing in relation to EL's claims.

You and Jeanius are the same, you cannot find anything on the internet and based on your ignorance you find it hard to believe. leather from Italy are very common, it doesent have to be very high end, and you dont have to pay a bomb for it. you want genuine Italian furniture? come and look for me and I will get you something that make you realise that you are living in vain all these years.

There are a lot of things that you do not know, Sam doesnt even know how much does a half leather 2.6m malaysian sofa cost, how can you compare yourself to him? trying to be smart? no problem, substantiate it.

As I mentioned before, I could have save my time wasting on people like you and jeanius and spend it on my customers but I could not let you people say whatever you like. Its never ending, but I will always defend EL's integrity till the day I outlive my usefulness in Executive Living.

You will be doing yourself and everyone of your customers a big favour by reassuring them that your leather sofas are the real deal and you get to silence all your competitors at the same time. I do not have to do that, our customers are a discerning lot, they buy our products because of our designs, pricing and credibility. They can tell if we are lying to them and they know what is the best for them. The reason I do not want to display the certificate is because I had some commercial reasons which I cannot reveal them to you, however I will show it to you personally if you really want to know. In Business there are things that I cannot share with you especially in the forum.

EL is doing a roaring business with 2 shops in 2 months. That explains that we are successful in our business model. You can have doubts, I didnt force you to buy. However EL's after sales service speaks for itself, you have no doubts for it. That is the reason why people like jeanius appear, we are hurting them like crazy. His refusal to reveal where he is from leave little for imagination.

Lastly, In this forum I cant silence my competitors, in fact I know that if my competitor makes too much noise, that means they are not doing well, and their business are being affected by EL. They lost a lot of market share to EL. Its words against words, you cant prove that you are absolutely right, its up to consumers to believe.

However I do have to thank you for making EL's thread number one in this forum. I believe, the publicity has certainly brought in some sales for us. I cant do it alone. Have to thank you guys.

EL, even though I myself am fully aware that Italian leather is very common BUT SO ARE COWHIDE LEATHERS FROM EVERY COUNTRY THAT CONSUMES A LARGE QUANTITY OF BEEF. My question throughout this thread was why every furniture retailer likes to mention that their leather is from Italy when how the leather is tanned is even more crucial than the origin of the leather. You took it one stage further by claiming your Bovine Leather Hides are from Tuscany, Italy, so you just need to substantiate it for the benefit of everyone. I didn't buy any stuff from EL yet so I do not need to know your profit margin but your many competitors and consumers like Sam in this forum have been repeatedly raising valid questions that basically argues that for a given type and quality of leather, there is a pricing formula for it and that if one can sell at a price that is unusually low, then it means the quality of the leather is not what it is made out to be. You have been raising the defence all this while that you have a great secret lobang for Italian leathers from Tuscany but unlike your competitors, I am not interested in this secret lobang because I merely want to redo and DIY my one sofa seat and 2 cushions and have very specific requirements. At the end of the day, there will be no conclusion to this issue because the arguments and counter arguments will just Ding Dong back and forth.

If you come to my office, you will see lots of Certificates hanging on the wall because many customers want to and expect to see all the Certifications before they will do business with you especially when some customers are required by their own customers to do business only with suppliers who meet their stringent criteria.

Based on what you posted here, may I know how can you prove that we do not use Tuscan leather? Have you seen our sofa sets? Have you seen our leather? Cow hides and leather are totally different thing do you know that? leather is processed cowhides. Your research tells you that most of the cowhides comes from Europe? I think its a waste or time trying to convince you. It seems that you and Jeanius and Sam knows more about our business than me.

I think you and Dave makes good partner. Since you guys are so good, why dont you try some luck in the furniture trade. Instead of just sharing your wealth of knowledge in this forum you can make some money as well. Things said are always easier than done.

In one of the earlier post by EL, EL claims that they have nothing to hide. When we put some questions to him, he accused us of being affected by their sales, being jealous and totally avoid answering them.

Do read all post here and we are sure you will learn more about furniture business ethics. We will make this tread here very interesting and knowlegeable to all.
