modern 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2011 electrician came and re-route exisiting electrical cables. he mentioned that they are unable to sort out the old cables & was told they need to re-do those at the living hall.was quoted 1.8k for the whole house. i felt it was rather expensive but he mentioned its that price cos there are other areaswhich i requested for conceal and they are more costly. the main door frame arrived. they are going to start on carpentry next week. the aircon is going to be up too. was quoted a few brands but in the end we still stick to mit starmex. potatoes 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2011 Hi Modern, your electrical cost of 1.8k - is it using the existing cables or does it involve partial rewiring? For me, I m keeping the 2nd level untouched and rewiring only for 1st level.

For me, I m keeping the 2nd level untouched and rewiring only for 1st level.hi, they re-wired those at the existing false ceilings. and they do some re-location of power pt based on my request. i also asked them to conceal a few areas. these costs 1.8k. however this does not include those original point which is left untouch. they will quote another price for the case & labour for the change of the case separately.
