reimonto 0 Report post Posted May 4, 2011 (edited) After following this forum for quite some time, i have decided to share some processes that i went through onmy renovation.Let's start off with the floor plan:My linkUpon getting the keys my sife and i went in and it was such a small house and was totally of different imagination of what i would expect when we went to the show flat 3 years ago. The agent told us that the 3 rooms were only a balcony and a room lesser compared to the 4 room. So i thought ok since its only 2 person staying in it thus i bought it.We initially chosen the 3 room at block 7 with a slight longer walkway but was 1 day late to put down the initial deposit thus getting the other 3 room slightly smaller cos less the walkway upon the main entrance.Immediately we knew that the theme to work on the renovation was extra space with modern look. Since it was a DBSS flat we decided to work on a budget below $12K so not to let the banks earn interest out of it.We decided to visit both IDs and contractors through friend's recommendations and selective walk-ins.Visited 3 IDs and 2 Contractors got their quotes and finally decided on taking up the package from a contractor even his quote wasn't the cheapest but selected due to wife's friend. reimonto 0 Report post Posted May 22, 2011 Following on:L-Box False Ceiling with Philips down lightsSpot ights along walkway connecting to rooms. I have included a false ceiling with spot lights to give some ambience when walking to the rooms as well as to give some focus lights on my paintings.Bathroom Lights: Chsen something real simple and best of all aqua proof.Rain Shower @ MBR. The original shower head given was ok and looking good but decided to go for a rain shower as water pressure was quite strong due to low floor condition. The problem is i miss the part where there will be holes from the previous shower set which had to replace the tiles or i will patch it up and simply live with it.
