i decided to start a thread on my renovation journey, and to make this as open, as detail, as clear as possible. this is my first time engaging an ID. your experience and comments are welcomed.

what: 3 room in bukit batok

id: derrick seah from homesuccess (beauty world branch)

us: me, my wife, baby girl, maid

we are going for design and full renovation

what is not included in the contract, and will be needed

- feature wall for tv in master bedroom

- bed side feature walla in master bedroom (derrick will give foc if we buy the above)

- built-in oven and stove

- air con (system 3)

- toilet bowl x 2

- washing basin x 2

- electrical works

- ceiling mounted clothes hanging rails

- bath room clothes hangers x 2

furniture we already have

- sofa

- dining table and chairs

- 40' lcd tv (for living room)

- 32' lcd tv (for master bedroom)

- normal sized fridge

- washer cum dryer

green line = glass partition

blue box = L box or false ceiling

brown box = sofas, fridge, washer dryer, bed

this is my own off hand drawing, general idea, but the measurements may not correct

2/may: signed contract

7/may: selected wall and floor tiles at Taugres (Balestier) (8/10)

8/may: selected carpentry laminate/color scheme (7.5/10)

13/may: floor plan and 3d is out, electrician came for wire plan (8/10)

15/may: 3d version 2 is out

15/may: selected lighting accessories at Arco Holdings (6.5/10)

15/may: selected bathroom/kitchen accessories at Wasser (Balestier) (7/10)

17/may: bought air conditioner from Gain City (IMM) (7/10)

18-20/may: hacking

21/may: electrician came to dismantle wiring, paid 50% to him (8.5/10)

22/may: met Derrick for doors selection, paid 40% (6.5/10)

23/may: cement and tiling

2/june: wall plaster

The electrician who came today was appointed by ID. He is Jackson Tan from 1st Power Electrical Engineering. He seems patient and offer good advice. But lets wait till he give me the quotation. Pray that it is not over budget..

Finally he quoted me $2400 after some bargaining, is this ok??
