I have shortlisted the Panasonic NR-BY551XS (freezer at the bottom) and the Hitachi RZ582EMS (traditional design). Currently leaning towards the Panasonic due to the nicer design lol

For those who are interested, my neighborhood shop quoted me $1100 for the Panasonic NR-BY551XS, Mega quoted me $1099.

But then again, I've been getting my stuff from my neighborhood shop for the last decade++, and he would just match whatever cheapest price I find so no issue for me.

Mine is Hitachi R-W691EMS. Bought last year. Sometimes there is funny sound that comes out of it. Otherwise, performance ok.

Mitsubishi is a good brand and they specialize in fridge and sitcom making in their electronic section

you wont go wrong with Panasonic, they are Japan biggest home appliance maker.

Mitsubishi fridge also alot of good comments.

just stick to Japanese brands should be ok.
