Queenstown 4 Rm Resale

Recommended Posts

Used to stay on 25th floor for over 10 years.. the living hall viewing is awesome & no blockage around hall, balcony & all rooms. The wind is flowing into the house throughout whole day & only turned ON aircon during hot season. Now moved to a low floor unit.. really can't get used to it :(

The entire block is 40 storeys. It is at strathmore avenue if you where. There is cluster of 30 and 40'storey blks there but if i am not wrong, only 3 blks have units facing the south direction like ours, the other units r either facing inwards (each other) or north, greenery view but i suspect may be blocked by upcoming projects. Yes the place is within walking distance to mrt and near dawson place. As for the price, we dont really feel comfortable revealing it here, but u can check out the recent transacted prices for resale flats in hdb website for rough gauge. :)

Somehow i feel that queenstown area has always been windy throughout the year, at least it has been when i was growing up in there.

Just let me share the areas that we r working on :

Living rm- shoe/bag cabinet near door, tv panel ( tricky part cos it will have to blend in existing kitchen window that the owners hAve made in the wall earlier), a retractable counter near the window so that we can have a drink or light meals while enjoying the view. Overall looking at a cosy n homely feel, therefore will be making use of wood n earth tones.

Mbr - total revamp, doing a platform bed. Hacking off part of the toilet wall n replace with glass for more open feel. Redoing the entire mbr toilet too. Going for a black theme in toilet. And Of cos rain shower!!!!

Cont frm above

Study rm - long work table, shelving, looking at a more modern n office like feel. Part of the study rm door will be hacked to replace with a glass panel with 'floating' display cabinet for our toys n stuff. I think this will be quite a center pcs in the house.

Common toilet - revamp entirely....

All the above n related thing are going to cost us close to 40k, just hope our id can give usa good job.

Also went Chelsea Lighting at Jurong East to get our lightings, mainly T5 lightings in bulk as well as some ceiling lightings for bathrooms as well as a track lighting for our corridor.

Had quite a nice experience, the sales person (John) was helpful and friendly, prices are competitive and below what we expected after doing some homework in RT.

Actually is at blk 52 :)

Is it on the 39th floor? I remembered I viewed one on the 39th floor few months ago when I was doing my house-hunting.

Me and my partner was mesmerised by the superb unblocked panaromic view from all the rooms of the house, but it was out of our budget...

In the end, we settled for a house at Jurong... a place where you intended to move out from... Haha...

Yup. We were there just over the weekends with our designer, the view is simply awesome, already missing it.

Hmmm ... So location is not your priority in shifting? Cos u r like considering places almost half an island apart!!
