Corner Terrace - Build House Further Behind

Recommended Posts

Dear all,

I am interested in a corner terrace with land size of 3500 sqft. However, most of the land is in the backyard and the front porch has only sufficient space for 1 car to park. As such, like to find out if is it allowable to rebuild the house further behind into the backyard, thus increasing the front porch space to at least 2 car length. This means the house will not be inline with the terrace beside it but further to the back. Thanks in advance

Hiya,

If Iam not mistaken, setback from back boundary is 2m. If there is a road behind, the setback can be more.

Currently at the initial stage of doing up my house too.

Cheers,

Ken

No restriction to shift wall away from front boundary.

But hor.. structurally, is better to maintain the line with the neigbours. Then at least yr 2nd story got max space.

Only the level 1 wall shift back.

Tell architect u wan "Max Envelope"

For 2 car, is better to widen the gate post. so 2nd car can park slanted.

2 car in 1 line.. very lechey to take the inner car out.

Thanks yoongf and iamken. Did not close the deal on the above corner terrace as the house is also right beside a busy road...

Good for you.

Busy roads are always a question mark. You never know when LTA needs you. And also bad from feng shui aspect too.
