Maximus 0 Report post Posted May 18, 2011 I got mine (galvanized) 4 rack shelf from Ikea. Rear tracks are mounted on wall. Each shelf can take 100kgs.
AtHome 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2011 did DIY shelvings for the storeroom, bought wood planks cut to size. but the edges were rough and cut the hands if not careful. tried sanding and painting the edges, but not much of a use. so went in search of a solution. finally found one and installed it. see photos below.can refer to my thread for details - http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=42861
Bunnymummy 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2011 I bought my storeroom racks from Thian Lee Hardware. You can google them if you like, they got website with all the designs and sizes. I think the prices are reasonable and the quality is very good. Since I stack a lot of heavy items I prefer to buy sturdier racks (rather than the cheapo ones from Giant or Ikea). They usually give discount and can deliver and fix up your rack within a few days. So far I have racks that have lasted for 6-7 years already.
mkl22 0 Report post Posted May 30, 2012 Went to UNS at geylang which was beside jinyu. Jinyu ignored me when i entered the shop. They were busy having lunch, thus i popped by next door at UNS. Quoted 160 for a 2x3x6ft bolt less rack with 4 levels. Then I decided to drop by howell. For the same, it was about 120. A saving of 40 bucks. I took a 3 level one in the end and paid 97. So maybe howell isn't that expensive
Mummy Ling 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2012 (edited) To recap from the feedbacks gathered, below are the 3 shops :Thian LeeURL : http://www.thianlee.com.sg/pro.htm#Love the L-shape tubular shelves in black epoxy because chrome plated ones will rust if come into contact with water or due to high humidity in Singapore.Need to measure my bomb shelter before asking them for quote.Jin YuURL : http://www.jinyu-trading.com/product-listing/black-wire-shelving-page/Did not see the L-shape when I was there today but quoted $135 for the normal black epoxy 4-tiers shelves(chrome one is $150). Delivery for an extra $30. Seems like a family business, the lady in office serve me while asking an Uncle(seem like her dad, speak Teochew) for the dimension/weight if I self-collect.UNSURL : http://www.uns.com.sg/shelving-racks.htmlMiss this shop when I visit Jin Yu, which is just beside HowellURL : http://www.howellunited.com.sg/shelvingracking_2.htmHave not check them out yet. These shelves can withstand load of max 200kg! Not sure about those from Ikea/supermarkets but highly doubt they are stronger. Edited May 31, 2012 by Mummy Ling

They are opened on Sunday.Self collected and finally agreed on $240 for the L-shaped shelves, after negotiating down from $260. Not that heavy, so to those who wana save the $30 delivery and your car can fit, this is something to note.

giddy333 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2013 You can check out this site http://storeroomrack.com, the only problem is that they don't customise it. But in terms of quality and cost, I think is value for money.
