Touch-up For Unfinished Work By My Current Id

Hi,

I am looking for a contractor to do the remaining touch up work which my current contractor didn't complete it.

I try to call by current contractor but he keep giving empty promise and didn't turn up to finish the uncompleted work.

I already pay him all the $$$ in the contract.

Please help... I really regret giving him all the payments.

the company name is YI VOGUE DESIGN located at SIM MING

The designer name is DERRICK CHONG.

It was introduce by someone. Before sign, he is very friendly and attentive to your request and question. Offer nice advice on deisgn.. After signing, work progress is rather slow. However, I thought this is normal. Anyway as there are some progress on the renovation I'm ok. However, he keep asking me to pay up all the money. After paying, he don't bother to answer his hp, dont bother to reply my SMS. And don't even bother to come to finish the rest of the touch up.

Now I need to get some other contractor to finish up the touch up. Please help...

First, never pay all the monies before you are fully satisfied with the works. But since this is already done, it will be hard to chase them. What I would do is to sms this 'designer' of yours and inform him that you are going to embark on an internet campaign to reveal his company's deficiencies. Take pictures and post them all here. Netizens will help you spread the word. I believe this form of pressure will work. It did help me before.

Then as a coustermer how can we get back our money? When we look for other ppl we still have to pay them rite? there is no way we can get back the money is it? How about making a police report? will it work?

i thought i heard from my id that only after all defects is done then they will ask for the last payment?? maybe you should head down to their office and check it out..

The remaining work are carpentry work, electrical work, flooring, painting, kitchen, toilet and bedroom touch up. Etc

Oh, man. I had similar experience with Design Street, owned by Stiff Lee, consultant is Ben.Son Koh. Delayed the renovation for 4 months, no completion. Hope other house owners will not be conned by those men.

The remaining is touch up for cabinet, no solid surface, back splash, rectification of floors defects, no installation of sink, basin, hood etc. Really bad. They claimed only after the balance was paid they would do the rest. But I have paid 90% already. Then no answer of my call of the ID and the boss. Heard from some others they were going to change the company name to do ID business. Be cautious, check the background of the company before you engaged with them.

I am having similar experience with Vogue Design House Pte Ltd as well, the so-call boss always fail to meet deadline and always never ask call. I have written two posts in renotalk, both also not live yet. Its frustrating, as I hope to let other home owner know of how they work! close to 3months and umpteen times of calling and delaying..sian..

My case is worse. The worst problem, the company/ID did not have any willingness to solve the problem, no answer to phone call. no one in office. afraid they will wrap up and gone. Just hope others will not be trapped with them again.
