Sell then stay where?, PAP gov very caring one , can apply first, then wait long long, till you get keys for BTO then sell yr house. Get keys for BTO till the completion of selling house (so call 2nd appointment) must be within 6 months. This queries repeated many times liao till I can remember.

do i need to sell my exisiting flat before i apply for BTO?

or only sell after i confirm my unit from BTO?

So sorry to make you repeat again. Just to clarify my doubts.

Does it mean that I can apply BTO now. Meanwhile I am holding on the pte property,

before 2nd appointment, I need to transfer or sell my property away?

May I know where can I get the information about this?

You are not eligible to apply for BTO at this point in time.

Ownership/Interest in Property in Singapore or Overseas other than HDB flats

You, your spouse, any occupiers listed in the Application Form or their spouses must not own or dispose or have an estate or interest in any other flat, house, building or land*

    • Within 30 months before the date of application, and
    • Between the application date and the date of taking possession of the flat

* includes but not limited to:

  • HUDC flats (Privatised and Non-Privatised)
  • Properties acquired by gift
  • Properties inherited as beneficiaries under a will or as a result of the Intestate Succession Act
  • Private properties
  • Properties

Why needs 30 montsh grace period for "first timer" who presently stays in pty to apply for "new" public housing(BTO/DBSS/EC)?? Logic?
