Are you refering to soft closing drawer system? aka anti slam?

if your drawers is those black colour full extension type, you must buy back the same but with soft closing , then the exisiting old drawers can use back. but you may need a carpenter to help you remove and install.

but if you are refering the blum type, then most cases you have to redo the drawer again as the allowance given is different.
