Leather Sofa - Need Some Advise Pls

Hi guys,

Am looking for a modern leather sofa for my new house and need some advise.

Been looking ard, and there's SO MANY grades n 'names' of cow hide leather that i dunno which is good. So are thin, eg 1.2mm, and some are thicker, eg 1.7mm, etc. Top grain, full grain, dunno-wat grain cow hide, now totally confused.

1) So what kinda cow hide i shld go for for balance of quality n comfort?

2) Does better leather means thicker? 1.7mm leather feels better than 1.2mm ones...

3) Any special treatment on the leather i shld be aware of?

4) When they say 'Italian' leather, does it really means from Italy???

5) Does leather feels warm n 'sticky' after long sitting in our climate, without aircon? Need to convince my wife that it doesn't...

Hi Komme,

Best thing to do is to read this forum thoroughly and then go to the better retailers and get the salespeople to explain to you.

Also, try to avoid the retailers with poor service.
