Hack/overlay Marble Flooring A Waste?

Recommended Posts

Got big budget?

1) If got $$$$$$$, do whatever you like, can hacked and lay new ones, can be tiles.

2) If got $$$$$, overlay with parquet.

3) If got $$$, overlay with laminate.

4) If got $, polish will do.

hmmm so how muchie did u spend on polishing? hw many sqm? :)

My is 92sqm 4 rm.

Living room + 3 bedroom.

1st vendor (Floor specialist) quote me $790

2nd vendor (Floor specialist) quote me $815

My contractor quote me $620

BTW, my living hall marble same size as yours. Even design also the same except colour.

Mine is milky colour for background, line is black/grey type

Then the 3 bedroom is the old design marble, look like broken marble. My contractor say it is not broken market. He did mention the correct name. But I can't remember.

Hahahahah..agree....but is it safe in terms of humidity if you just overlay new materials on top of the marble?

@Jaskel: Can I know if your marble flooring have been polished to near 100%? Because I consulted one of my contractors and he commented that at most 60% can be recovered to original white marble slabs flooring. Besides, chemical washing and polishing might cause the water to slip through and affect the neighbours below the flat.

Pls comment.

Thank you.

when u decide to reuse the existing thing, u need to lower ur expectation.

It will not be as good as new one.

Close 1 eye.

Think positive.

Polishing will not remove scratches. Unless you ask them to do patching or repair (Can't remember which is the correct term)

yeah bro already did close one eyes but the antagonizing part is that the scratches were done on the day of hand over when e previous owner decided to move e piano across e floor w/o pro movers...
