therat 18 Report post Posted March 31, 2011 My resale floor also come with marble floor and some part has crack and holes. We ask contractor to patch up the hole and repolish. But regret, their skill not that good for the patching. I should engage a pro marble polisher to do a better job. Don't save that 2-3 hundred different. Not worth. acevin 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2011 Mine also marble flooring, but not like urs tiled type. If u like marble flooring, jz get it repolish and you will love it.. Else, have it overlay with laminate flooring. For me, I enjoyed my marble floor for ard 5-yrs, then recently have it overlay with laminate flooring.. If one day I want my marble floor back, I simply get contractor to remove the laminate flooring will do...
forgotten 1 Report post Posted March 31, 2011 (edited) My parent's flooring is a marble one. I love marble flooring. It makes house feel cool, spill water onto it also nevermind, and no worry of termite attack. Polishing can lighten scratches on the marble surface but not fully remove them. Actually after you shift your furnishing into the house, the "flaw" of your floor will not be so obvious to you anymore hehe. p/s: Can we please exchange our flooring? acevin 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2011 (edited) Huh overlay??? Won't the doors be obstructed? This will be taken care of by the vendor.. The doors' base will be trim off abit to accomodate the overlaid thickness i.e. door trimming... Edited March 31, 2011 by acevin
