archenemy 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2011 hi guys...just wanna check if its possible/feasible/legal to use concrete instead of buying a bed frame all i want is a raised platform to put my mattress on..like what you see in hotels, but instead of the lower piece, i wanna use concrete. will there be any issues with the weight? sorry if my question sounds stupid...but looking at how lousy bed frames now..i rather go for something sturdy.. january 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2011 isn't concrete kinda heavy? you may want to check the weight load of your floor before going through with it... may not be feasible. or you can just get some concrete wallpaper instead?
archenemy 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2011 interesting idea. concrete's not cheap though, btw, and u cant shift your bed i reckon that if i am able to do it..it wont cost much more than a good solid wood bed frame.. im ok with not being able to shift my bed isn't concrete kinda heavy? you may want to check the weight load of your floor before going through with it... may not be feasible. or you can just get some concrete wallpaper instead? yeah..thats my concern..the weight of it... im not going for the concrete look..i really want something sturdy below my bed
morganwu 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2011 depending on who u brought your bed frame from. if u buy directly from good workshops, they are very reasonably priced.
