I have been to so many IDs before and their price is very expensive. My 4 room flat in punggol vista works up to about $33k when my budget was only $28k, but i must admit that i really did alot of works. They did my boss beauty salons reno as well.

They have good workmanship & definitely worth the money which i have paid.

You can consider North West. They just completed my HDB 4A-resale flat renovation recently. My budget was 30K at first, and my designer was able to come out a complimentary 3D images based on that. But I was convinced to add-on the additional cabinets in my MBR and living room after family discussion. This project encompassed complete renovation of the whole unit with kitchen, living and dining rooms, two common bedrooms and the master bedroom. It included re-modelling two bathrooms and store room, upgrades to all existing lighting, new flooring, wiring, and panelling, as well as new wall plastering throughout. It ended up with satisfied 39K.

Please get quotations from DEFONG too and compare. I also overhauled (TOTALLY) my resale 4 room and spent slightly $30+K, I can't remember exact figure. But it was the cheapest of all quotes that I got and the result was satisfactory. I now have a cozy comfortable home. :-)

Seems like you're suspecting that these people, who are just trying to help by introducing good and reliable ID / contractor, are actually ID / contractor themselves? haha ...

My 2 cents worth of recommendation would be Susan Loy of Urban Design. This lady is helpful and very customer-driven, rather than sales-driven. Not pushy type, and always listen to customer's needs and make sensible, good recommendation. Pricing wise, I would say that it's reasonable. Do a search on Urban Design's website and look for their numbers, then call them and ask for Susan Loy, if you're interested. I will not be able to provide her contact to you, as I did not get her permission to do so.

For a start, maybe you can shortlist a list of, say 5 IDs, get the quotations from them and then compare. However, cheap things come a great deal of sacrifice (Eg: Quality / Worksmanship) being compromise. Also, do be extra careful and look through the quotation thoroughly before putting your signature on the dotted line.
