DAY 13

Had a meet up with Neo last night at my parents plc. Mostly we discuss about the progress and also to settle all the doubt regards the reno. So far, my experience with him is a good one. Easy to talk, responsible guy and a joker.. :P Usually when there things need to explain we will discuss before work begin..Eg A few weeks ago he called me and say the wall tiles for my MBR toilet is OOS. And gave me a few option.

Option 1 - To reselect a new tiles and hack the existing (Reject)

Option 2 - To keep the existing but at some area use a new colour tiles (Reject)

Option 3 - There is same colour tiles like mine BUT instead of 600x300, the tiles is 600x600. And funny guy, he wanted to put the whole big piece on my wall 8| .

I agree on Option 3, provided he have to cut the big piece to half..which after that make no diff as my existing tiles, the size be the same :P

So far from day 1 till now, any issue we able to solve on the spot..hopefully it will continue this way.

And last night after the meet up when over to see the reno progress.. Though they slow down a bit, Im still happy to see all the wall tiles are up, my base for Island and cabinet have been construct. Today, will be day 1 for plastering..was told it will take them 5 days to do the whole house :jawdrop: aiyaiyai I start to feel very tired nowadays. Everyday including on wkends we will drop by to see the progress.. zz

Doors calculation are very misleading... Hehe....

heee how misleading can it be? Even if the door is small, the smallest for wardrobe is 600mm.. so base on my calculation, total length for 5 doors will be 3000mm.. with that, can play hide & seek inside :notti:

Btw, why u need to reduce ur wardrobe? What will be the new size now?

Ely wardrobe door based on 900mm so it's 4.5m. Mine is only 4 doors, 925mm per door, for wardrobe as I make a dressing table of 750mm.

My plastering taking 4 days... But seem like you are catching up with me. Hehe...

Mine is sooo totally NOT big. So many changes made because the calculations were made wrong and almost made to choose casement :( I said no, I want sliding! Now they have to extend the toilet wall (rehacking and retiling) to fit the normal 600mm width. I only get 4 doors technically, as one is a shoe cabinet, now made into a L-shape, into of U, so less shoe space /cry

Here at home, I get about 6-7 (900mm per door as per standard) doors of all my crap so will probably need to throw out some stuff.

I'm trying to steel the other 2 doors from The Husband and make him use the one in the other bedroom haha!

Lady R - very nice progress! I like the brown pebbly-like tiles - they look good!

4 doors of 900mm is big lah.... and you might get to steal the other 2 from your hubby... so in the end still have 6 doors. hahahaha.....

your parents house is very big to have 6-7 doors just for your wardrobe leh...hahahaha....

Not that big, but we have a lot of space, since younger brother is in Australia and older brother already has his own apartment, so it's just the folks and me (and the zoo). Getting my ID to do A&A for my parents' home too, more space to store leftover crap muahaha!

And I don't think I'm winning the wardrobe battle...I'll just use the other wardrobe then *humph*.
