The customisation of the bedframe side tables also took a few months and I had to repeatedly call them. The mattress I bought from them was sunken in and I had to again call repeatedly for replacement.2nd time, I replaced my bed frame, they again delivered the wrong model! Again took a few months to replace because of no stock. I realised that they will accept orders without checking inventory and then try to "smoke" you by delivering another and hope that you didn't notice.That said, I like the solid wood of their furniture. The spring mattress is still super firm after 8 years and I bought it at $800 only (probably our best investment!). The bed frame is still creak-less after 6 years, TV console standing strong. The sofa cushions is also very firm and friends had commented that theirs sagged after a few years.Quality good but lousy service ... glad I finally got what I wanted from them. petermama 1 Report post Posted May 7, 2015 Hi all, I bought from La Cafa at the recent expo fair. I spent about 3K on a sofa, bedframe, mattress and TV console. I bought prior to reading the posts... and after reading the posts, my heart dropped but I was hopeful and prayed for the best. And, I'm happy to announce that every item came in great condition and on time. In fact, I requested for an earlier delivery timing and they met it. The salesperson who attended to me was very professional and attentive. He responded to my text promptly on my delivery request. So! Don't worry if you bought from these folks. UrbanDayak 1 Report post Posted June 4, 2015 bad experience with La Cafa. i bought a sofa from the expo held in late april (should have read the reviews before purchasing!). salesman was Don. initial delivery date was 30th May. Bare in mind, it's a month after date of purchase. a week prior to delivery, they call & said that they cannot deliver as promised and the new date given was 6th June. i started to google for reviews and found this thread. frankly, i was worried sick after reading all comments. today, they called and said that the sofa cannot be delivered on the said date. earliest is 11th june. reason being, the port have not released the item.All this time, i tried calling Don ample time but he didnt pick up. only text msgs saying he's overseas and ask to call the main or delivery office to check.Called the main office, a very rude call taker picked up. after answering a few questions, she just hung up on me. i called back and told her i tried not to believe all the bad reviews i read online but it seems like La Cafa is agreeing to all of it.So it seems i have to wait for 1.5 mths for my sofa. with all the bad experience that im in right now, i just hope the sofa will come in a good condition.Just a note, i'm not a competitor trying to pull La Cafa down. this is a true experience from a very unhappy customer. admiralty 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2017 I just saw this forum. Or else I shall not have bought it. But too late i just bought a TV console from LA CAFA furniture shop at Toh Guan furniture Mall. Delivery was suppose to be Tuesday which they delivered. However it found out t have some defect hence I called show room they agreed to exhange on Thursday which is 20 July. While on 20 July some one called me to postpone to Friday. And Friday again some one called me to change to Saturday. While on Saturday, NO CALL and NO ONE CAME at all. So i called the show room i will told by this lady sales Jennifer Toh, she told me they are only in charge of Sales. They do not know any thing about delivery. When I demand to have solution then she said i need to check with the sale person that attended to me that she will only be working on Sunday. She even told me only the GOD knows the delivery time. Ask me to ask the GOD. Such a rude sale person. Her name is Jennifer Toh from Toh Guan Road Furniture Mall. And until now my furniture still not exchanged yet.
