Hi Folks, i've been trying to find solution for instant heater + rainshower. Is it possible to use instant (for hot pipe) + cold pipe = not so hot rainshower? I've been only using mid power for my instant heater. I was wondering if i on full power for my instant heater always couple by cold water, it should have enough pressure? Workable?

You are using gas water heater with rain shower? Which level are you staying?

I thought of getting gas water heater with rain shower but many advised me not to.

And we are living on level 15 and was told that water pressure will be weak.

Sharing my Rain Shower.....

We are using gas water heater and so far no problem with the supply of hot water to 2 toilets, even at times we were using at the same time.

Here is my rain shower at the common bathroom.

Things to look out for:

1. If you look closely at our rain shower, it has 'flat' top. Don't buy those with angle bent type which will affect the height if yours is restricted by beams or low ceilings.

2. When installing the rain shower, do consider your height and the preferred 'rain drop' effect. My children are very tall, hence, when the plumber came, we insisted that he raised the height 2 inches higher than normal installation. I hope you get what I mean.

hey bro, if i remember correctly, the problem about instant heater is not only about the water pressure, and also the mechanism of it such that the instant heater must be higher than the shower head, and this is quite unlikely to happen cos rain shower itself very high.... also how many L/min of water can the instant heater take?

cases of instant heater spoils due to use of rain shower is quite well documented in RT... you can do a search on it

erm i help Mae answer... she stays on low floor nia. you stay on 15th floor... but how tall your block is? it depends on how far are you away from the top floor and not only how high/low your floor is~

Thanks Marshmallow! I think I will try to get more info from instant heater seller and the contractor. Haha actually i dun mind the instant heater placed out of reach and had it on high power all the time. My concern over storage heater is that i might forget to turn them off after use... my "advisor" had claimed that their elec bills once jumped a couple of hundreds because they were out for holiday (2 weeks) with the storage heater on.

Hi everyone, I know this is an old thread but thought it maybe good to gather feedback from existing users.

I am intending to install either 240mm (27477000) or 300mm (27494000) hansgrohe overhead raindance shower. How many litres of joven heater should I get considering 5 mins of rainshower? Understand that the output of rainshower is approx 18L/min, so mix half hot water with cold water = 9L/min. 5 mins will need 45L?

What about water pressure? Does it require min of 2 bar to function properly? Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. I was told 2.5 bar is enough. Any existing user can verify? What about storage heater? Will 35L be sufficent?

My husband and I are retiring, and we have purchased a 1900 square foot home that has a Rinnai R-85 tankless heater powered by natural gas. We are rehabbing the bathrooms, because after removing the floor and wall tile in both bathrooms we discovered rotten floor joists.
