welcome to RT!

i read, "kitchen wall approved"? means to hack to do up an open kitchen? haha

yr layout is very square which is good!

if i may comment and budget allows, i will trim down the study room size and change the door entrance of the study to the balcony side. thus the kitchen entrance is much more open and allow a better play for an open kitchen.

there's many recess areas under the windows which mean storage space is easily available. and is not a bomb shelter also..

i will go for the ultimate and hack down the store. haha.. cause i believe that really cuts down on clutter.

but then, talk is easy. it has to be practical for you too. just my humble suggestions.

all in all, like the space and layout you have!

happy renoing!

Hi ne0mesis,

Good idea!! But we need a bigger and brighter study room so we've decided to hack off the kitchen wall.. and yes, we're going to build cabinet at the recess too :)

Btw, we can't give up the store room for practical le, my wife has many things need to store (yet i don't know what is it..) haha!! Almost the cabinets, store are belong her already!!! ;)

Wah I like the layout - very square and huge! My bto flat is really tiny in comparison.

I am not too sure of your needs, but when it comes to the kitchen here's what I'd do

- hack the walls between kitchen and study

- open concept kitchen and study becomes dining area

- hack a window opening from balcony to let in more light

- separate the kitchen/dining with glass sliding doors to prevent oil/smoke etc

My 2 cents. If I ever became an ID I would probably hack down all the walls I can then replan the whole house hahahah

Hi, hahaha.... ya... my house is square but if compare to others, my unit is not that big la :)

Well well well.... We got a same idea bro!! Yes, we're going to hack the wall btw kitchen and study... so that my dining and study area will look bigger... haha

and yes, we did consider about the glass sliding doors btw dining and kitchen but 2nd thought we seldom cook~ so we just gave up to do this part..

Thanks for your advise bro... Let's me share my 2D drawing later :D
