Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request
It's not just mine that are that expensive. I think most are around the same pricing. I might not be able to get him as mine already need to start electrical by thurs. :(

Your digital lock is really cheap!!! I get other model, with fingerprint which is more expensive. Maybe I buy locally which incl warranty and installation. Less headache for me. :)

I'm keen to get 1 too. Where did you get yours from? What is the model & price? Thanks :)

Just wondering, your price excludes installation right? So who is going to fix it for you? How much would it cost? Would it fit any door? :P

Sorry guys, I've been under the weather for a while, but am back now :)

WHEE!

Had no idea there would be so queries about the lock, so I'm going tackle one subject at a time.

DIGITAL LOCK

arghhh elly! ebay, my credit card company, paypal - all should take commission from you.

i clicked on your link and now I am hooked. but thanks for the links - good things must share hor?

Definitely Hafiizh, RT is like some huge carebear community :P

Hi Ely

May I check how do u go about installing the digital lock? I'm so tempted to order one too!

Hi friends78 and eggroe,

Apparently, it's really easy to do it yourself. The seller included a

on installation too. It arrived in 2 days, I was so surprised at their efficiency - it's very sturdy and well-made too. I was actually at Shanghai Tong Lee (for door handles etc), and they're selling the same model at a discounted price of $998. We just brought the lock down to Yontat so they can fabricate the front door to accomodate it. We're either going to get our electrician to help us, or simply follow the YouTube video haha! Yontat refuses to install it for us - sigh.

I tried the handle lever at Shanghai Tong Lee and it felt pretty good. Nothing flimsy.

I'm keen to get 1 too. Where did you get yours from? What is the model & price? Thanks :)

Hi Hypo,

It's mentioned in one of the links in response to Gap's quiry.

It's the model: SHS-5110 - S$259 (inclusive of shipping) bought on eBay here: http://cgi.ebay.com.sg/Samsung-Digital-Key...=item3a5e53780b

The other models are listed in one of my above replies. Shipping was superfast, well-packed and very reliable. Came with manuals and installation help.

CHAIRS

where did you get the chairs? :)

Nice chairs!! Where you get them?? Online again??

Cool designer chairs there! Cant wait to see your place fully renovated

I saw similar mesh chair at X'Clusive Home when I was browsing for my dining set.

your lamps and chairs are so classy, wonder wic part of house they will be, shall wait for more pics

Hi Ely, your chairs looks great! Where u got it from? I like the Charles Kartell ghost bar stools most

Hey Marshy, Mae, Maydream, sfk, cutiecat and Hypo! :)

Thanks guys - I love the classics. Didn't get them online lah! Haha

Got them at Lifestorey. The Ghost chairs are about $300. The Mies van der Rohe Barcelonas I got them at a whim because they've been chairs I've loved forever - decided to get them in brown to break the monotony of black (not too expensive for being non-replicas either - about $360 each). The living room has a lot of steel (metal art, steel legs etc), so the Barcelonas go perfectly. The coffee table is a perfect complement we got from Hommage:

The Eames wire chair goes into the common bedroom for a little study nook, as we're planning to keep the other bedroom entirely white. Got the white rattan ball lamp to complete the look, along with white wood-grain laminate wardrobes.

Probably going to add a sofa bed but that will come later. Going to focus on the more important purchases first.

We're ALMOST done with all the lightings - save for some we're planning to get from Ikea, but all the T5 and downlights, ceiling lamps have been purchased.

LAMPS

Lamps well... yes they're online from Lampsplus.com. When we went around looking at lightings, we couldn't find any table lamps we love so I got them online :P

The black lamp goes on my bedside table, and one goes to the foyer, while I haven't decided where the other goes lamps go yet. :P Got two solar lamps for my balcony and master bathroom online from etsy.

There's going to be lots of candles in candelabras too :)

Thanks, guys, for being such supportive readers of my blog - I never knew people would be really interested. I shall post pictures of the paintings I got from Bali, they're finally framed! :)

Hi Ely, any interesting updates and purchases from internet ? <img src="http://www.renotalk.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Ha! Am I that known for my shopping habit? *blush*

Well, it's mostly been the boring stuff:

- $560 worth of LeGrand switches (62 switches of all sorts - sockets, dimmers, heaters, 2 ways, SCVs, isolaters, telephone jacks, wardrobe switches etc) - pretty reasonable from Choo Chiang Marketing, and electrical door bell.

- Installed the doors(Not quite sure what happened to the handles of the room doors... Almost completely certain they were not the ones I asked for... it's a small detail that can be overlooked but the Virgo in me can't get over it~), and the digital lock! After a lot of fumbling, The Husband got it working yay

5643596486_a801f274f1.jpg

It makes a pleasant sound so it doesn't bother me. Ask me again after a year.

- Have gotten all the handles for the glass doors and hinges for the doors from Shanghai Tong Lee.

- 3 decals, with one more to be custom-made (all left as surprises for final makeover pictures k?)

- Have gotten quotations for wallpaper, blinds and curtains.

- Bondi is home!!! He seems to have forgotten me *sniff* but it's been more than a year so I don't blame him. He's taking some time adjusting - everything spooks him and Maxey can't seem to leave him alone but they've exchanged kisses so no fights, but definitely plannning now where the cat ladder should be so Bondi gets a break from the hyper Chi. Maxey has such a wonderful temperament I'm bursting with pride - he knows how to respect Bondi's space, and Bondi, with his ever-sweet nature takes everything in his stride. Can't be happier with these two.

Have yet to go back to iwannagohome for a chaise, and to Lifestorey for a vanity stool - these things still haunt me! A couple of stuff left from Ikea and we're all done.

I think we're falling behind our schedule though - carpentry is supposed to be fitted already, yet it has only just commenced and painting isn't done yet so the lights can't go up either. Part of the bathroom had to be re-hacked and re-tiled and extended, so that the wardrobe can have its 600mm width. This means, the glass door to the bathroom, has to be re-ordered as well.
