The Best Journey Always Leads Us Home

Hey all,

I understand these types of towel rails are typically heated, but I'm trying to source locally for one (non-heated) - I just like the look. Anyone know where to get them?

TIA!

Very nice view from your Balcony Ely :) sure a very cosy place to be when your reno is completed

Thanks Kobelala, the main tree you see on the right is where the resident owls perch :)

Hi CutieCat,

Glad to know we have so much in common! Being a fellow Virgo, I'm sure you'd understand the pedantic control streak! Not to mention the perfectionistic trait! I'm glad we scheduled the ROM earlier, so we can concentrate on the reno process. We thought it would be best to stagger everything - but planning for the wedding in December is nerve-wrecking as well. We have everything on schedule (I think...) but the photography is set for July and no designs for the dress yet! Which bridal studio have you engaged, and where are you having your dinner? Congrats on your upcoming ROM! :)

Still firming up the menu, no guest-list as yet, still looking for a band - but that would fall in place in time I believe. Now, we're just channelling all our energies on the house reno process! It's so much tougher than I'd imagined. Here's hoping your reno process goes smoothly! Have you got an ID yet?

Hi reglxt,

Went to alibaba, but don't they mostly cater to wholesale enquiries (bulk orders)? Couldn't find the exact same one either, so I'll just go back to the reliable shop~

At least I'm being refunded by PayPal :)

-Ely

some of the alibaba sellers do entertain smaller orders

think ebay is a better choice .. furthermore alibaba sellers only accepts TT if i am not wrong :)

Ouch!

Yeah, saw it on eBay but the shipping would be $$$.

Also saw a much smaller one **** Phenomenon but it didn't have enough rungs as I'd like, and was too short and cost $480~

Sigh.

ever consider getting them fabricated by some metal works people?

i asked for a quote once to get people to fabricate my stainless steel bench.

alas, there wasn't significant cost savings, so we bought from lush lush in the end

been done, done that.

so don't worry, everything that should happen will happen and will fall in place when the time comes.

hang in there and enjoy every single process (seriously) because all would be but beautiful memories before you know it ya

How much did you pay for it at Lush Lush?

LOL! So is CutieCat - we're all worrywarts and perfectionists - but that's exactly why you love your wife right?! :P

My wife is also a Virgo.

Considering how many people here are Virgos, I am surprised Singapore doesn't grind to a halt in December as quite a few people seem to be 'otherwise engaged'. Festive celebrations maybe :o:).

I read that Virgos are quite critical of life. Unfortunately my wife often tells me I am her life...... I thought she was being romantic :P. :D

I concur!

My husband has a love/hate relationship with the Virgo - he loves how I'm so detail-oriented and organised with an almost eidetic memory, but hates how it always bites him in his butt! The steel-like determination is quite intimidating, but motivating for him. He loves my goofy side more though :) I'm so terribly childish when I'm not being "serious" or "critical". Like Aristotle said, excellence becomes a habit, no? :P

Btw, ne0, we're not "irritating" - we just know EXACTLY what we want, yet know how to laugh with abandon :P

CutieCat reminded me I never posted the mattress I bought, so here it is:

I'm a sucker for pillow-tops, so initially it was a choice between the Sealy Kingsbury or Serta Willow Spring, but laid on this, and felt like falling asleep.
