noobhouse 1 Report post Posted March 2, 2011 hi, i think there's an ad by PUB recently on saving water. there's some type of water saving device i think it's called thimbles? as per this passage below: anyone installed such device? wa's the cost like & issit really effective? A series of three television advertisements focusing on taking shorter showers, not washing dishes under a running tap and installing thimbles in taps and showerheads will air on Mediacorp Channel 5 and 8 for about five weeks from 27 February to end-March 2011. Berry10 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2011 A thimble is just a round rubbery disc with a few holes in it. It does save water. However, there is no chance of getting 'fish' & 'bear-paw' at the same time. The disadv is the waterflow will be restricted & less water. You need to get use to it. I couldn't. If not , had to depend on that country liao. I know OZ has similar water save tick system. I read it while googling for water tap. Can't remember what it call liao.
