Lightings Paid But Not Recoverable!

Recommended Posts

Hi, my mum has paid for her lightings in 2007 in one of the lightings shop @ balestier as she planned to renovate her house. The shop required her to make full payment. Then subsequently, she went for a surgery thus the reno did not go ahead. Now the problem is, she has already paid for the lights. Now she would like to recover the lights but the lights were sold. So she asked if can refund. The lady sounded aggressive and told her only 50% refund since the items were not collected more than 1 year. She has spoken to Darren of Plush (the ID) who brought her there to buy the lights. He sd the same thing and remarked to my mum to go and check in the market on the impossibility of full refund. The thing was he forgot to tell the lighting shop that my mum did not proceed with the lights and the lighting shop did not call her up to ask her to collect the lights at all.

So now, what can we do? Lightings are already paid in full. No Lightings as they are already sold to others. Shop only willing to refund 50%. Anyone encountered this?

if that's the case as in only 50% refund, i will have to top up the balance to my mum..my fault for recommending her to darren then...feel so bad....haiz..darren also would not refund her the $500 deposit for reno as my mum did not proceed with reno...by right there should also be 3D drawings..not even one pc..

i will not recommend anyone else to him then.. nvm anyway, will be starting on my reno research n process for my EM later..just dun wan more trouble n stress..

Sorry can't help you on it except that may you can try to use the money paid at the shop to get lights that you need for your em. The other advise would be not to pay for anything in full.

Since cannot refund, can use the same deposit to buy other lights?

If you can find someone else who wants to buy lights over there, get them to buy the credits from you?

not sure if they would allow the same deposit to buy other lights or not....if i m not wrong, they are willing only to refund 50% of the value.

Try to negotiate with them.

Your mum already paid full for the lights, just short of collecting them. It's money paid but goods not collected.

Nothing wrong with using the same money to get other goods instead, (provided you can find someone who wants to buy light..)

The shop is called Lucez Lite @ No. 424 Balestier Road #01-04 Giffard Mansion.

Oh my mum said they do not want to refund cash, only 50% of the value and must choose from their lights.

So unreasonable as she has fully paid for the lights.

Can try going to CASE for solution. Look carefully on the terms and conditions on your mum contract, is there any clauses that said goods not collected within certain period of time, u can't refund or exchange for other items, etc....

ya already asked my mum to go to CASE for solution. See how it goes.

It never says anything about goods not collection. It just says goods sold are not refundable.
