After the shopping, we went to Sembawang Shopping centre, and we walked to Daiso. Buy a few cleaning items for our house and drove to our unit.

We leave the items and went off with our place padlocked.

Just MHO - most guys who gone thru NS can crack a number padlock easily within 5-10mins, so I recommend getting a roller type number lock instead.

These 2 areas are another excellent artpiece from my ID. If you notice the black partition on top of the TV wall feature is actually connected all the way to the Altar.

Isnt this something special? <img src="http://www.renotalk.com/forum/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/notti.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":notti:" border="0" alt="notti.gif" />

Right now, am really excited as tomorrow will be my key collection at HDB office. Plus i need to check defects which is another stress to me also.

I hope we don't have any much defects to rectify and can start the reno as per scheduled on the 27th April. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/disturb.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":disturb:" border="0" alt="disturb.gif" />

yes, key collection!!!

Hi Abby,

Simply love your feature wall with the altar design. From your floor plan, the H/S is covered by the feature wall? I've a quote & advise from the ID that any feature wall that cover the H/S would need to submit permit to HDB for approval so that in the future when you wanna sell, the HDB guy that come to provide evaluation would not need us to remove the feature wall. Is it true?

Coz I've incident before whereby my friend's wall was overlay ontop of the old tiles which the HDB say must remove before they give evaluation. I do not wan to kanna this type of problem.

Hope to hear from you soon

Cheer

Bottle,

I don't think so will affect the tiles leh. Only the other side that faces the Tv will have the cabinet feature. And I did not remove anything from the HHS, be it the door, the 2 holes above the HHS.

How cOme the wall overlay the tiles? Ur fren create another false wall? If I buy those ready made altar cabinet also will put that area mah. Don tell me hdb also want u to remove before evaluation? Doesn't make sense

Sorry, I mean the ID told me tht there is a standard (or minimum gap required) for the feature wall (sliding wall) to cover the H/S as per HDB requirement. And ID also mentioned that drawing + permit is required as well. He quote me $1300 for tht which I find it expensive

If together with altar ($910), total is $2210.

Tht y I ask the friendly pple in Renotalk. As i mentioned, ID explain the reason if you do not submit the permit(+drawing), nxt time u wanna sell the flat, the HDB guy would ask you to remove the feature wall before he give the evaluation. How true is tht?

Actually if u have concern over future selling, i think better don do the feature wall. If not, alot of headaches perhaps?

But y u wanna do a sliding wall?
