farkingnuts 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2011 hello, after reading up on a number of BUDGET mattress brands, i narrowed down my choices to : 1) King Koil - i've read that it is a US brand but made in S'pore ? 2) Vono - should be okay since it's a sub-brand from Slumberland ? 3) 4-Star - a reputable local brand ? hope you guys can help me make up my mind. thanks! I will go with 4 star, made locally, both King Koil and Slumberland has production in Malaysia. I would take Vono over King Koil
farkingnuts 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2011 I will go with 4 star, made locally, both King Koil and Slumberland has production in Malaysia. I would take Vono over King Koil thanks a lot ! from what i've read on the net about King koil, seems like they're to be avoided ! i'm actually torn between Vono and 4-Star since Vono is from Slumberland BUT Slumberland is now owned by Malaysian company so Vono might be started by the company to make use of Slumberland's reputation without any real quality. as for 4-Star, they seem to be quite low-tech, eh? by the way, any bad concumer experiences with either brands ? i'm more concerned with durability rather than comfort. To buy a mattress, is not about about the branding. you got to test the item physically. sometimes a 1K mattress might felt more comfortable than a 4K mattress to you
farkingnuts 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2011 To buy a mattress, is not about about the branding. you got to test the item physically. sometimes a 1K mattress might felt more comfortable than a 4K mattress to you what you say is true but i'm more worried about durability, no point having a very comfortable mattress that sags badly after a short period. the warranty means nothing at all. also, the numerous horrible consumer reviews i read really scared the crap out of me with local brands like Maxcoil, Princebed, etc all sagging badly after a couple months !
