footprint 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2011 Wow! Your ID gives out very detailed 3D and 2D plans! Your toilet design is simple and nice... Too bad mine being fabricated, cant change... Else might adapt your design. Hee.. Those will be done by abs trimming hor.. (which can last longer as water not able to seep through) Saw from your schedule, tiling started! Looking for more real-life photos... hee..
hafiizh 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2011 wah i like your ID - at least everything is laid out in black and white. reduces a lot of miscommunication and lost-in-translation incidents. i like how the kitchen is done - you can only do so much with the small kitchen hdb gave us (sigh). just a note, the fridge being out in the hall - most times the fridge would be jutting out instead of being in line with the cabinets like in the 3d drawing. not only are fridges generally deeper than our kitchen cabinets but also you have to have space a t the back (i assume) for the plug so ur fridge back is not flush against the wall. that being said, the fact you place the fridge outside the kitchen without any cabinetry around it means u can choose any size fridge without worrying so much about dimensions. Hope to see more developments, keep them coming!
Ely1 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2011 Gorgeous 3Ds! Can't wait to see how it all unfolds! Your TV feature wall is stunning! Your ID is so specific, it puts mine to shame. Mine was simply onsite pointing and nodding, and pencil drawings on the wall... I had to do my own cartoon drawing as a confirmation instead. Everything of yours - false ceilings, electrical points, tiles, paint - is so detailed!! Completely envious. I no longer remember what I agreed on~ -Ely

Hope to see more developments, keep them coming! in fact, the very important thing is to give your ID the measurements of whatever electrical appliances you bought. timing is very important. first, you need to agak-agak know how long is the whole renovation process gonna be, even before the ID/contractor gives you the schedule. ask when is the best time that the electrical appliances should come in, and by when he needs to know the exact dimensions of your electrical appliances that may affect his space planning, especially big items like fridge, washing machine, and even TV. for me, i have already started looking around at electrical stores like best denki, courts, harvey norman, audio house and even smaller establishments like parisilk, goh ah bee, and everjoint. i created a spreadsheet to list down the possible make and model of the electrical appliances that i was interested, and the amount offered by each seller. all these are recorded via google spreadsheet so that i can record it using my iphone wherever and whenever i am. and when my ID says he wanted the measurements of the electrical appliances i have bought, i quickly went to harvey norman and show them my spreadsheet and asked if they can match the lowest price of the various sellers of all my interested electrical appliances. see my signature on what i have bought from harvey, total damage < $7k. when i made my purchases, i told them the expected time of delivery is about a month later when my reno is almost complete. after i made my purchases, i gave my ID the measurements of the tv, fridge, washing machine. with this measurements, he can then re-assess to see what he originally designed can hold my upcoming new fridge, washing machine, and tv.
