ne0mesis 0 Report post Posted March 14, 2011 (edited) We fitted the whole kitchen with Blum system and it does makes a lot of difference with those cabinet without. They are quiet when closing compared to the other cabinet doors I have in the house. I'm going to get the ID back again to replace all of those with blum as well. hey there.. we share similar theme for our house so was reading up yr tblog. glad to know that yr reno was completed without major hiccups (except for the dish drainer issue)! yea, agree totally! blum system is indeed a joy to have eh. I love to close the drawers now! ha This is what I have left with a queen-size bed: The walk space between the bed & divider same case here.. we had wanted to look at a king size bed but after measuring and consultation with ID, we decided not to for fear too lil walkspace after putting in a king. notice you have white grouting in between yr tiles.. jus to share, maintaining it white is really tough. e.g your mopping water slightly dirty, yr white grouting may ganna liao. well, that's exactly what happened to my living room. Our last area of the house - Study cum entertainment area. sama sama too! we intend to have an entertainment room but the room seems small to have everything so yea really gotta keep it minimalist. saw yr dyson fan! how issit doing for you? i'm torn between a dyson tower fan and the much talk about Vornado Another functional piece of furniture from BoConcept. Actually, we love to shop in BoConcept as they have quite alot of functional furniture and the prices are quite reasonable. I like to call it 3-in-1 sofa bed : Its a Sofa Its a lounge chair And, its a bed!!! BEST INVESTMENT i say. is really nice to have that in the room. functional, practical and still doesnt lose out in asthetic! lovely! Hi ne0mesis, Thanks for the advise on keeping the white grouting white. I will let my day maid know. Well for the fan, the dyson fan is very noisy if we want to switch it to high speed. It sounds like an industrial fan in the room. Maybe you can try to check out Vornado.

No swing door for shower screen? your toilet gonna get wet! Hi Advancer, we have the swing door and its behind the wall when I took the picture.

sethho 0 Report post Posted March 15, 2011 Hi sheepz, Again, congrats for a nice place you can call home now I just got a resale unit in Clementi and will probably get my key in 2 months time - but I like to plan way ahead cos I have only budgeted $20-25k for renovation. I got some wild ideas to propose and also conventional ones to fall back on, so I will buy the floor plan after 1st Appointment. Kindly pm me the name of your ID from A&D Interiors and those contractors that gave you good results (i.e. carpentry, flooring, etc.). Thanks in advance! One trend I see after reviewing all the posting is... regardless how reputed a contractor/ID is, the quality of their work will surely suffer with more projects. So I guess my first question when asking for quotations will be to find out how many projects they have on hand - personally and overall for the company. emobebe 1 Report post Posted March 16, 2011 Moving on to my MBR. After shifting out the vanity into the MBR, the usable space become smaller for the MBR. As such, in order for us to use every available space, we got the ID to construct storage space in the bed headboard. I always hate having headboard, it has no function at all just collect dust on the fabric. We saw this wonderful pullout headboard design from Ikea. We know Ikea has great design but their furniture won't last long. After getting the ID down to ikea and have a look, he modified the design and gave us pull-out drawers instead of pulling out the whole unit. We also changed the initial proposal of a walk-in wardrobe at the vanity area to a divider. This allowed wind and sunlight from the only small window in the room to come into our bedroom. Nice cosy home. Wondering how much is the carpentary work for the customized headboard?
