I've just got my 3rm new flat, & I'm very new to all renovation stuff.

I've seen lots of post & finally have this crazy idea...

D.I.Y...

Since mine is a new flat, I don't have to do much...

Only Flooring for 2 bedrooms, living room, & store...

Painting & Kitchen Cabinets...

I'll buy my own material for my floor, but what else I need to buy beside floor tiles?

Pls advice...

Regards

Kat

That's adventurous :)

Painting is ok, but having seen a friend putting together an Ikea kitchen before, I must warn you that it isn't as easy as they said.

Tiling works are better left for the professionals, maybe linoleum, vinyl, or laminate are better suited for diy.

My 2cents, cheers

there are DIY videos on how to lay laminates on youtube. But in Singapore, most laminate companies provide the installation and would not want u to "anyhow install" on your own and end up your laminate spoil very fast.

as u have no info watsoever, tiling is really not something u want to venture into.

Better to look for tilers instead.

kitchen cabinets are not as easy to make as u think. Do you have the necessary equipment, wood supplies and help (need more than 1 guy to do) to do up the kitchen cabinets? If you source around, u would realise that IKEA kitchen is actually more expensive than carpenter.

The only stuff DIY-able would be painting. Just watch nippon website video to learn painting techniques. :)
