Recommended Posts

Dear All,

My wife and I need your advise or experience on choosing mattress.

1. what are the things to consider?

2. in term of price range, can you list out the brand from the cheapest to the most expensive range?

About us:

a. we decide on queen size

b. both of us are back-sleeper.

c. we are early 30 years old.

Please enlighten us.

Thank you.

the best way to determine the best mattress for you is to go down to the shop and lie on it yourself. both u and ur wife. lie down for at least 10 mins and have a feel of the mattress.

price and brand doesn't really matter. a $300 mattress is as good as a $3000 mattress if you feel good lying on it.

I got the serta sophistication for myself and my wife said i turned alot lesser nowadays.

pillows are important too

yup jus go down to any mattress store and try all the mattresses.

we were contemplating between a 2.2k and 3.7k mattress but after lying on it, both felt pretty much the same. so went for the cheaper one instead. zz

mattress is very subjective.

When we shop for mattress, my spouse prefer hard type, while I prefer soft type.

We went to try King foil and others big brand. But either too hard or too soft for us.

In the end, we get a $400 mattress which is in middle. abit hard for me, abit soft for my spouse.

Just get some time to get use to it.

To make it short, sweet and simple, there are only 3 main criteria imo;

1) decide on your budget

2) shortlist ur desired brands

3) lie on it physically for the feel

and ofcse, lastly evaluate & get decided !!

Theres no magic formula and do be aware that many ppl get suckered in / blinded by big brands but expensive does not always equate to good / comfort.

You will be pleasantly how some budget mattress can go head to head (in terms of comfort level) with the big boys.

Happy Shopping :D

Taka have all these on the same level , or u can go to Furniture Mall as well, More impt is how u feel and also the price must justify the level of comfort u are getting
