Hunting For Mattress [sealy/simmons/serta]

Recommended Posts

Dear all,

I'm starting to do some research & testing for my new hse mattress. Currently, narrowed down to

1) Serta Diamond suite($2.15k), 2)Sealy Posturepedic Luxebourg ($2.86k), 3)Simmons new beautyrest Passion PLush Firm ($3.35k), 4)Serta Sierra Hills ($3.5k).

Anybody actually owns the above models? Coz couldnt find much feedback with the above model.

Personal feel is that the Simmon plush pillow top feels very bouncy, but in terms of

motion transfer, it's among the best. As for Serta Sierra hills, the latex top feels good but afraid of the quality as some mention

tat Serta SG mattress are manufactured in Batam :bangwall:.

Sealy Luxebourg really have a nice luxury feel, lacks in terms of the bounciness, & my partner

finds the movement transfer more noticeable.

1) Is Sealy using the Bonnell spring system? Coz the salesperson showed me their NEW patented coil system,

the coils seems to be interconnected. Isnt this the old kind of coil system responsible for the sleeping disturbance??

2) Is Simmons the only company using Individual pocketed spring?

Still very noob in this area. Juz wanted to make my hard-earned $$ more worth while.. Pardon me for my questions.

Everytime I go to my Mum's place, I'll spend some time on her Simmons bed. Its like sleeping on a cloud. Much better than the one I'm using now. Haven't try sealy or serta, can't comment.

Hi Arcadia,

May I know where did you get a quote of 2.15K for the Serta Diamond Suite? Appreciate if you can advice as I just bought mine at $2495. Throw in four pillows, a mattress protector and foot bench at bed end.

I was given a price guarantee on my mattress price, so if I can find lower, they will refund me. Please help if can, thanks ;)
