Hi Bro,

Thanks for letting me and my partner have a look at your house. It was especially bright and airy!

Love the unblocked view from the MBR and balcony.

Hope your Reno shun shun all the way!

Exactly, that's why my kitchen is the only place I have flourecent White tube ceiling light.

Anyway, the fsm already advised me that my house must be bright & I'm now getting used to having more lights. All my downlights are warm White lights. I will also feel dizzy if there are too many warm lights.

yo so we finally "forced" you to update?

anyway, on the cove light, i personally prefer daylight. but why not just try out May's / your mom's suggestion to use both warm and cool white? even if you find it not suitable after a while, the lights can still be changed... :)

I would suggest that anywhere you are likely to be doing any reading whether it is a book, ingredients of a food packet or the latest bill to arrive, it would be better to use natural light.

We use warm in the bedrooms, warm in the living room down lights but natural in the ceiling fan which gets used 90% of the time.

Now if you want to be really funky, get dome bright white lights and fit a clear plastic cover over them and then tint the cover with different colour plastic films to give any colour you want, when you want it.

Natural and warm for the living room seems like a decent compromise. Natural for the dining area as if you want it more romantic you can just bring out the candles.

Bedroom should be warm... either that or disco lights :P.

wah it looks so nice and clean! thanks mae for the updates. cs, I like your gate!

hmm regarding lights, I like warm lights in the living room. at night it gives a very cosy and warm feel which I love. not surprisingly my bedroom also has warm lights. usually you use warm lights for mood.

for reading in bedroom and living room, I was considering white light from task lighting e.g. side table lamp etc for functional purposes.

my toilets and kitchen, bathroom and dresser table uses white light. downlights in my living room are warm, the DIY chandelier in my kitchen will also be warm.

My most concern is the floors are not protected with corrugated boards at ALL!! :furious:

I was worried that they may be scratches as works are still going on....with workers seen carrying & moving things around. I thought it should be a practice to lay protection once the floorings are done?
