ziztine 0 Report post Posted January 1, 2011 I will be plastering my whole 3 room flat this coming tues. The plastering guy recommends that we should remove all existing switches & sockets & wire trunking b4 plastering. And replace them after plastering. His reasoning is that the plastered wall around these areas will be nicer. Is this the norm? Wondering if he is suggesting to make his job easier. Cos if we remove & replace, it will mean we have to fork out more labor cost & material (trunking) cost. We will be replacing most of the switches but only relocating some of them. Thus we didn't expect to have to replace the wire trunking as well. If we choose to keep the existing wire trunking & fix the new switches & sockets b4 the plastering, should we expect that the areas around these to be not as perfect as the rest of the walls?
