Where To Find Standing Fans With Long Wire?

Does anyone know where do they sell standing fans with extra long wire? Cos my socket is pretty far from the place I want to place the fan. Its either I add a socket nearer to the fan (but ugly trunking will be showing & add'l cost) or get a fan with long wire (existing fan pretty old anyway). Help! Any advise appreciated. Need to buy sockets this weekend. Electrician coming down Mon to do wiring.

U could try using an extension cord.

Since ur electrician doing things for u, might as well get them to add extension wiring for the fan wire for u..

Easiest wat is to remove the fan plug, the wire inside can be extended with longer wire..

Electrician will easily know wat to do...

yes, acevin, is right.

instead of using extension cord, which would be ugly, u can get ur electrician to remove the plug and extend the wiring directly.

i did the same thing for my TV.
