jim 0 Report post Posted December 30, 2010 Hi, we are planning to install a system 4 aircon for our new reslae HDB 4 room flat. Any good recommendation on the brands? We are thinking of between Mitsubishi Electric (5,800 x 3 Btu/hr + 8,188 Btu/hr) or Toshiba (5,868Btu/hr X 3 + 7,984Btu/hr). Is the duty for these two model sufficient for a HDB 4 room flat. Many thanks for your time and advise. Jim

So far no comment. Easy clean it is can be help your pocket money saving for cleaning in air vent and fan blower.

Actually for inverter works can choose for 10x3 and 22 for living hall. Event switch on 3 units or 4 units at same time for the BTU can be adjusted to each other rooms to be quick pump up max. Capacity btu. After runs for while the temperature are reached it is can be reduce the capacity to be keep as low btu and just for maintained the cooling until you switch off. Only starting you set to 25C or lower temperature it is an slowly feel the cooling as fast. I not wrong guess to taken only half and hours or 1 hr later for 4 rooms can be feeling cold. Sorry forget to ask how is your flat in single rooms size? In meter. Edited December 31, 2010 by kimsim

We are very low air con usage(due to sensitive nose) about 3-4hours daily. We are thinking of Daikin MA56EV1 / 3 x FT25DVM / FT50FVM. Is the duty sufficient? Thanks for your advise. Cause the daikin non-inverter just only 2-3 ticks. It an very noisy from indoor or outdoor noise level. I though the model is already phase out. For I will getting the daikin R22 - 4MKD75DVM system 4. It is still can be save into half price of bills and switch on 4 units still don't worry about the electricity. Keep to cooling comfortable. Does not on and off repeated until next morning. Toshiba is quite well only indoor FC operates noise will be noisy. For condenser yes made in japan and no other is imported from japan. Fancoil blower still made in thailand. For me I still choose for Mitsubishi starmex inverter the quality of products it is made very well not like other brand same like pastic toys. When you open FCU and see inside the part to doing the normal cleaning.
pixie 0 Report post Posted December 31, 2010 Toshiba can't b loaded in most hdb cos of the larger than usual compressor If u r changing the entire piping shod get r410a. Better to mother earth. Also in future if they stop the production of r22 it will b harder to get the refrigerant.

demonlicious 0 Report post Posted January 11, 2011 Since this is a long term investment which most of us will not be changing from time to time, its better to go for teh more established brands such as Daikin and Mitsu Elec. In terms of performace, both are comparable but Daikin is more quite as compared to Mitsu Elec. As such, its a better buy. Think you should invest in better ones to avoid future dissapointments.
